English/Spanish Tutors & Teachers

As a Learn-Aprende Tutor/Teacher, you are responsible for helping students reach their academic goals.

You would be expected to do the following:

• Provide a supportive learning environment that assists students struggling with their course material.

• Review content with students in a relatable manner.

• Informally assess each student’s strengths and weaknesses to develop a personalized study strategy.

• Plan sessions that will help improve the student’s academic performance.

• Complete a short evaluation and record the session in the student’s account.

• Motivate and encourage the student throughout the process.

• Describe what they are learning or want to learn.

• Make students always leave their session feeling they learned something.

English Tutors: Must hold an ESL certification

Spanish Tutors: Must hold a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in the field or certification in Spanish

Requirements & Qualifications

Teaching Experience: At least two years of documented experience in teaching, tutoring, coaching or mentoring.

Education: ESL/Spanish Certification, a Master’s Degree in the field.

Work Authorization: Eligible to work in the U.S. or where you reside.

Reliable Technology:

• Device that supports Zoom

• A Zoom account with the ability to record Zoom meeting

• Fast and stable internet connection of ≥ 25 Mb/s
